Tasting Notes:

The Kopparossa Coonawarra Reserve Shiraz 2021 is a vibrant expression of premium South Australian Shiraz from a label founded by a Jimmy Watson Trophy-winning winemaker. This youthful red is already commanding attention with its 96-point rating and Gold Medal from Wine Showcase Magazine, following a 94-point rated previous vintage by Sam Kim (Wine Orbit).

In the glass, it shows a deep, earthy red with purple and plum hues. The nose reveals layers of toasty spice, cherry plum, chocolate, and a subtle touch of mint. On the palate, it’s velvety and rich, with generous fleshy cherry fruit flavours and a persistent finish framed by firm yet supple tannins from quality oak and grape integration.

While already impressive, this Shiraz is still in its youth and promises to evolve into a bolder, more complex wine with careful cellaring—making it ideal for both current enjoyment and collectors.

Accolades & Awards:

96 Point Rated - Australian Wine Showcase Magazine

"A dark fruit nose with wonderful complexity and depth. Varietal fruit showing layers of dark fruits on the palate seamlessly merge with excellent oak spice."
